When Bill Kincaid receives news of the murder of his twin brother Brady in a pot deal gone bad, he leaves his post teaching Classical Philosophy at Brown University to travel back to his childhood home in rural Oklahoma. Upon arrival, he finds that reports of his brother’s death are “greatly exaggerated” and is quickly caught up in one of Brady’s schemes.
Despite severe misgivings, Bill decides to participate in his brother’s plan, choosing to spend his time as “Brady” in the company of his mother, Daisy who has retired from the counter-culture and prematurely chosen to move into a retirement home.
Meanwhile, Brady and his best friend/business partner Bolger use this perfect alibi to confront civic leader, synagogue member and all-around narcotic purveyor to the greater Tulsa metro area, Pug Rothbaum, about some unfinished business.
